Banker Wire decorative wire mesh was recently integrated into the specification for the stairway railing and airy loft space of an open-concept barn home in the Northeast.
|Material||Plain Steel Wire Mesh|
|Secondary Finish||Powder Coat|
|Pattern||Mid-Fill Square Weave|
Inspired by the rugged look of cattle fences, the wire mesh maintains a refined aesthetic through its streamlined pattern that is on repeat throughout the grand room. To install the railings, Banker Wire’s M22-37 decorative wire mesh was framed in a U-edge profile frame.
Intended to complement the space, the woven wire mesh products present a welcomed contrast between the industrial metal and exposed wood construction and hardwood floors throughout the home. The high percent open area of the M22-37 wire mesh offers glimpses of the floating hardwood staircase.
U-edge is the most common way to provide a safe and economical perimeter edge around a wire mesh panel. The Banker Wire U-edge framing material provides a finished look. The clean and defined square edge, which is 13 gauge, 1.5” construction, is easy to work with and can be used as a framing solution for a wide range of wire mesh patterns and spacings.

Plain Steel Wire Mesh
Plain Steel typically contains 6% to 12% carbon content and is directly cold drawn from hot rolled rod steel. Plain steel represents good value and is widely used for its weld-ability, strength, and economy. Banker Wire manufactures plain steel wire in-house for woven and welded wire mesh products.
