QuadCore™ Technology is Kingspan’s next generation of self-blended hybrid insulation core using gray microcells. With an ‘envelope first’ design approach, the envelope of the QuadCore™ insulation has the potential to reduce the sizing of HVAC systems on top of improving energy usage and reducing carbon emissions.
Fire Resistance
For smoke sensitive occupancies, Kingspan insulated metal panels (IMPs) featuring QuadCore™ Technology were the first closed-cell insulated panels in the world to achieve FM 4882 certification (the FM Global insurance standard for smoke sensitive occupancies).
The panels have improved Fire Resistance Ratings compared to industry-standard insulated panels. This means that they have improved performance in key areas of fire-performance, including;
- Lower smoke
- Higher ignition point
- Less heat released

The image shows a simulation of fire escaping from a window opening and demonstrates that the insulated QuadCore™ panel does not contribute to fire spread.
Red List Free
The Red List details the 20 worst-in-class materials commonly used in the building industry that pollute the environment and bio-accumulate up the food chain until they reach toxic concentrations, harming those who consume them. QuadCore™ has a Red List Free classification meaning that it does not contain any chemical ingredients included on the Red List at levels greater than or equal to 100 ppm.
