Arktura architectural ceilings use Soft Sound®, a felted material, to create customizable acoustical drop ceiling systems.
The SoftGrid series features different designs for ceiling systems that help to define spaces visually and improve the acoustic properties at any scale. They are based on a grid-layout configuration made up of pre-configured modules which ship flat-packed.
The acoustic ceilings come in a wide range of colors and finishes, including wood-grain textures. SoftGrid® ceilings are 95% open in plan to accommodate building systems and lighting. The dropped ceiling system can be used to screen existing infrastructure from sight.”
Materials: Metal, Soft Sound®
Arktura materials have a high proportion of recycled content and can be recycled. Soft Sound® is an acoustical material made up of 100% PET plastic with up to 60% recycled content.
The acoustic ceiling system’s 1/2” thick Soft Sound® fins provide an NRC rating up to 0.9, this is further aided by the gridded layout which helps to achieve excellent acoustical performance over entire rooms or specific zones.
SoftGrid® products are preconfigured solutions designed with an array of adaptable criteria and effects. Ceiling systems can be customized using Arkturas' 'toolset' which includes many powerful design variables:
- Overall configuration
- Attachment points
To install the acoustical ceiling systems, a step-by-step kit of parts approach is adopted with easy-to-follow instructions cutting cost and installation time.
Arktura is a carbon-neutral company. They manufacture in a zero-waste manufacturing facility in the USA and ship globally.
