Arktura architectural ceilings use a felted material to create customizable acoustical drop ceiling systems.
SoundStar® ceiling system employs hexagonally shaped cellular coffers to create a scalable way to add geometric dimensionality and provide acoustic dampening. A module is comprised of angled surfaces made from Soft Sound® acoustical material with a metal substructure.
Two module sizes can be mixed as desired: 12” or 24” deep. Thanks to the modular configuration, SoundStar® is adaptable to a range of spaces and designs. It is a scalable system that can be configured in various different layouts over entire spans or desired spaces. SoundStar® accommodates new and existing structural and lighting elements and can be used to hide unsightly features.
Soft Sound® is an acoustical material made up of 100% PET plastic with up to 60% recycled content. It can be recycled at the end of its lifecycle. Soft Sound® can provide an NRC rating of up to 0.9. Couple that with the system's angular faces and modularity an excellent acoustic performance can be achieved across an entire space or the desired zone.
Arkura products are preconfigured solutions designed with an array of adaptable criteria and effects. Ceiling systems can be customized using Arkturas' 'toolset' which includes many powerful design variables:
- Overall configuration
- Attachment points
To install the acoustical ceiling systems, a step-by-step kit of parts approach is adopted with easy-to-follow instructions cutting cost and installation time.
Arktura is a carbon-neutral company. They manufacture in a zero-waste manufacturing facility in the USA and ship globally.
