More about this product
Goppion designs, develops and builds display cases and museum installations. The company works with curators and exhibit designers to develop solutions to individual projects with a collaborative approach.
C-class display cases are vertical or horizontal metal-framed display cases, featuring rotating or tilting glass doors. They have high airtightness.
Types
- Cv1
A metal- framed case with a door on the front with perimeter strip. One or two glass sides and one, two or three doors that swing open on articulated HR quadrilateral hinges. Fiber-optic or LED lighting can be housed in the top
section of the metal frame. The base and sides feature mounts and rails to accommodate accessories, such as shelf supports, brackets, or panels.
- Cv2
A metal-framed case with a door on the front with perimeter strip. The gas spring-assisted manual opening mechanism tilts the door upward on articulated quadrilateral hinges. The case’s metal backboard can accommodate accessories on hanging systems and shelves. Individual cases can be placed side by side to create a continuous display. - Ch1
A metal box with a glass lid. Table cases can be installed in an inclined position (like a book rest), fitted to a pedestal, or wall- mounted. The base of the display cases can consist of two separate plinths to accommodate a passive relative humidity control system. The doors use gas spring-assisted articulated quadrilateral hinges. This type of case can be fitted singly or in series. Backpainted lateral strips conceal the opening mechanism. This type of case can be fitted with lights at the front and back, likewise concealed by back painted strips. - Ch2
A metal box with a glass lid with perimeter strip. Placing the opening mechanism at the front rather than at the side enables these cases to be arranged in rows, as single cases standing side-by-side, or as a continuous unit with sections divided by glass partitions. The opening system consists of two connecting rods forming a hinge. One end is fixed to the case’s structure, at the back, and the other to the glass lid, towards the front, where a gas spring keeps the lid raised when in an open position.
The gas springs and hinges are concealed by back painted strips. Although it can be used in a single case, this system’s characteristic of having demountable sides, owing to the opening mechanism being fitted to the front and back rather than laterally, makes it particularly suitable for creating rows of horizontal table cases to form a continuous display unit.
Modular assembly is possible by disassembling the sides of the individual cases and joining them together. The cases can be fitted with LED strip lighting, which is also modular and removable. As a continuous unit, the case’s air exchange rate is reduced to one air change every three days.
