Island’s unitized curtainwall assemblies are fully customizable aluminum-framed enclosure solutions, based upon a series of pre-tested curtainwall systems. Each curtainwall application is tailored to meet the specific needs of a project – from engineering considerations, to thermal performance and nuances of the architectural design-intent. The unitized system is developed through shop drawings and mockup testing, before fabrication begins at Island’s Calverton facility. The factory-glazed assemblies are shipped to site and installed in-sequence to enclose each floor – allowing the greater project team to minimize on-site efforts and maximize quality-control.
