More about this product

The design for the Meisterstück Emerso bathtub and its counterpart Emerso washbasin come from renowned designer Arik Levy as a part of his bathroom collection for Kaldewei. The sculptural bathtub won the Red Dot Design award and the International GOOD DESIGN award in 2015 from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

Designed for a single bather, the freestanding Kaldewei bathtub with its high, sloped backrest and a long base is an ergonomic and modern interpretation of historic bathtub shapes. Unlike most freestanding bathtubs, this enamel paneled tub does away with conventional symmetry with a non-central waste outlet and an edge which turns in on itself inspired by the movement of water. The design combines austere geometry with playful shapes with the edge moving fluidly from the raised backrest to the foot section, keeping the eye occupied. The flush-fitting enameled waste cover and discreet overflow made of Kaldewei steel enamel underline the bathtub’s sculptural nature.
