Cladding Panels in Expo Milano German Pavilion | EGGER

Twenty-one million visitors went to the Expo Milano and three million visited the German Pavilion. Whether visitors strolled through the exhibition, sat in the restaurant, washed their hands, or experienced the Be(e) Active interactive show – they were surrounded by EGGER cladding panels. The Working Group German Pavilion (ARGE), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Economy and Energy, selected EGGER as a partner to supply its wood-based materials.

These included the flame-retardant Eurolight lightweight board and the Feelwood synchronized pore surface on Flammex compact laminate, which was certified specially for Italian fire protection regulations. After its success at the world exhibition, the Pavilion has left no visible traces: it was dismantled and recycled as part of the Expo sustainability concept.
