Frontek is the Greco Gres Group's benchmark brand for ventilated façades. It has been 20 years since the birth of this brand and since then more than 5 million square metres of ventilated façade have been installed all over the world. Frontek tiles are characterised by their honeycomb structure, which considerably reduces the weight of the tile (32kg/m2) and therefore of the façade. In addition, this composition allows to obtain a much more resistant piece to wind loads. In the extrusion manufacturing process, in which only pure white technical clays are used, mixed with water and feldspars, and thanks to the temperature of the kiln, reaching 1200 degrees, a piece with a water absorption of less than 0.5% is obtained. This allows the façade to require zero maintenance, providing a guarantee of more than 20 years for both the façade and the system. The ventilated façade achieves significant acoustic and thermal insulation, reducing energy expenditure inside buildings by up to 40%, an aspect that is reflected considerably in heating and air conditioning bills.
Frontek is installed using a mechanical anchoring system consisting mainly of brackets anchored to the supporting wall, T-shaped aluminium profiles and stainless steel clips with the option of installing the piece vertically thanks to its honeycomb structure or horizontally in the groove. As manufacturers Frontek provides all the certifications to be able to install the product correctly and offer all the guarantees. They have the Environmental Product Declaration for the entire production process, are members of the Green Building Council and the National Association of Renovation and Reform Companies, and have DIT Certification. It is worth highlighting the NFPA 285 fire certification that provides a Euroclass A1 certification as porcelain tile, the highest that exists. Its pieces are also S1 and D0: it does not produce drips or detachment of the pieces.
