THE BEGINNING Thanks to the passion, to the intuition of Mario Bongio, a small factory was born in the heart of Novara, more precisely in Alzo di Pella. We are close to Lake Orta, and a few kilometers from Milan. It was the year 1936, of an Italy that despite the goodwill of many small and medium entrepreneurs, must still know the horrors of a world conflict. Mario Bongio's quality and courageous choices have allowed his company to go through hard and difficult moments, giving priority from the beginning to an unmistakable style of innovation and creativity. Brass, Murano glass with the work of master glassmakers, crystal, have given the company a unique character. For the Bongio, taps and baths have always been read as the pretext to think of a more global project, done together rather than as a unit. BONGIO TODAY The current production, led by the son of Mario Bongio, Antonio, still has in the catalog many of the projects born in the 1930s and 1940s as proof of the quality of the project and its modernity. In recent years production has mainly taken the road of research, and of absolute quality always solved with an unmistakable style. In short, a real "made in Italy". The consolidated presence in the most qualified showrooms in the world, are the greatest recognition of this commitment. Everyone now knows many of the "pieces" made by Bongio, they have become icons not only of design, but of a feeling and a passion beyond all boundaries. For designers and creatives who are lucky enough to work today for Bongio, all that remains is to acknowledge and somehow submit to the charm and enthusiasm that they find in the company and in the people who work there.
