FIBRAN is a Greek manufacturer of insulation materials founded in Thessaloniki in 1974, producing thermal, acoustic, and fire-protection solutions for markets across Europe and beyond. Complementing its dry construction range, FIBRAN offers FIBRAN CEM NEXT, a cement board designed for demanding interior and exterior applications.

The FIBRAN CEM NEXT cement board is manufactured from Portland cement, aggregates, and other inorganic materials, reinforced on both sides with a glass fiber mesh firmly embedded in the cementitious core. The result is a non-combustible board that is highly resistant to moisture and does not allow the growth of fungi, making it suitable for wet areas and exposed exterior surfaces alike.

Applications

FIBRAN CEM NEXT is ideal for both interior and exterior applications and can be used for the construction of walls, ventilated facades, false ceilings, and claddings in general. Its surface can be smoothed and painted, or it can serve as a substrate for ceramic tile claddings or for External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS).

Installation and Finishing

The board is easily cut with a standard utility knife and fixed with dedicated cement board screws. Joints are treated with glass fiber tape and a leveling mortar, and the entire surface is then smoothed using an anti-alkaline glass mesh embedded in a leveling mortar suitable for exterior-grade boards. As a final surface, FIBRAN CEM NEXT can be painted; alternatively, after jointing it can act as a substrate for ceramic tiles or ETICS.
