Vibia is a lighting manufacturer that develops architectural lighting solutions for residential, hospitality, workplace, and public environments. The company presents Nexum, a modular lighting system designed by Arik Levy that reinterprets the traditional chandelier through a contemporary architectural language. Composed of interconnected linear profiles, the collection creates three-dimensional lighting compositions that combine graphic clarity with integrated illumination for projects of varying scales.
Rather than functioning as a decorative centerpiece, the system organizes light as an architectural element that extends throughout the space, creating compositions with a strong graphic identity. Available in a range of preconfigured layouts, Nexum can be specified to suit different spatial proportions while maintaining a cohesive visual language.
Configurations
The collection is available in suspended and ceiling-mounted versions. The suspended configuration combines uplight and downlight within the same luminaire, illuminating both the surrounding architecture and the space below to create balanced, layered lighting. The ceiling-mounted version directs light exclusively downward, providing uniform, glare-free illumination through a more compact composition that integrates closely with the ceiling plane.
Materials & Finishes
Nexum features an aluminum body with polycarbonate (PC) lenses and an iron canopy. The collection is available in a Black finish (NCS S 8500-N), emphasizing the graphic character of the linear structure while allowing the illuminated geometry to remain the visual focus.
Lighting Performance
The collection incorporates integrated LED lighting with a color temperature of 2700 K. By combining direct and indirect illumination in the suspended version, Nexum creates comfortable, balanced lighting environments while reducing the need for additional luminaires. The ceiling-mounted version provides consistent direct illumination suited to interiors requiring visual comfort and uniform light distribution.
