Opened in 2018, Pier 17 is a redevelopment of the historic South Street Seaport that combines retail, dining, and entertainment along Manhattan's waterfront. The approximately 30,000 m² complex features shops and restaurants at ground level, organized around an open pedestrian street inspired by New York City's urban fabric. Above, a large rooftop venue hosts concerts and public events while offering panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Lower Manhattan. Designed by SHoP Architects, the project reinterprets the traditional pier as a contemporary mixed-use destination that remains active throughout the year.

LINIT® EcoGlass was incorporated into the building's glazed façades, allowing generous amounts of natural light to enter while contributing to the project's refined architectural character. The profiled glass system features a silky solar surface that supports energy performance while complementing the clean, contemporary design of the complex. Integrated with large glazed openings that can automatically close during adverse weather, the façade balances transparency, durability, and functionality. Available in custom glass thicknesses, web widths, and flange heights, the system provides the flexibility required for large-scale commercial and public architecture.
