Pelago Series | Green Furniture Concept

The Pelago Series is the newest product family from Green Furniture Concept, bringing a sculptural aesthetic inspired by the Nordic archipelago into public spaces. Rounded edges, smooth double-curved contours, and a construction free from visible bolts or screws give each element a soft, cohesive design where seating, planters, and recycling bins share a single design language.

Rather than fixed products, Pelago is organized as a kit of modular elements combined into named configurations. The seating-only configurations—Tendril, Half Circle, Infinity, Twig, Lucky Clover, and Eye—range from compact islands for two or three people to sweeping, interlocking curves that can anchor an open floor plan, with the sinuous geometry encouraging both face-to-face conversation and back-to-back privacy along the same line.

A second group of configurations integrates greenery directly into the seating. Sprout, Circle, Nest, Stretch, Pebble, Node, and Flow combine benches with built-in planters, so vegetation becomes part of the furniture layout rather than an accessory placed beside it—dividing zones, softening acoustically hard environments, and reinforcing a biophilic atmosphere. A third group—Branch, Clover, and Wave—goes further by incorporating recycling bins into the arrangement, absorbing a typically utilitarian object into the same sculptural language and keeping waste points close to where people actually sit.

Add-ons include armrests (left or right), tables (left or right), and chargers with power outlets or USB connections. Modular elements can be customized across a wide color spectrum, from nature-inspired hues to branded statements, allowing the same configuration to read as calm and organic in one project and graphic and identity-driven in another.

Built from certified plywood finished with a zero-VOC Rubio hard wax oil and a minimum of 75% recycled aluminum, with PVC- and halogen-free cables, Pelago is lightweight for easy handling and repositioning while remaining stationary in demanding settings. All components are replaceable and designed for circularity, allowing repair without replacing the entire product. The Möbelfakta- and CE-certified series is produced in Sweden and carries a 15-year warranty.
