Lamps in Ca' Apollonio Heritage Restaurant | OLEV

OLEV is an Italian designer lighting brand specializing in LED lamps that combine artisanal craftsmanship with intelligent lighting technology. OLEV lamps were chosen to illuminate Ca' Apollonio Heritage, a five-star boutique hotel and gourmet restaurant located in Romano d'Ezzelino, in the Vicenza province of the Veneto region, Italy.

Ca' Apollonio Heritage occupies Villa Apollonio, a historic property whose earliest records date to the 16th century, set across 18 hectares of countryside at the foot of Monte Grappa, a UNESCO MAB Reserve. The villa was painstakingly restored by owners Maria Pia Viaro and Massimo Vallotto, who revived the historic building while integrating a contemporary structure to house additional suites. The property operates across two distinct dining settings: a gourmet restaurant serving a tasting menu by Michelin-recognized executive chef Alessio Longhini, and a bistrot offering a more informal wine bar experience.

The two dining spaces presented different lighting challenges. In the main gourmet hall, the original antique frescoed ceiling made it impossible to drill the surface for suspension lamp installation. OLEV's Tee rechargeable table lamps provided the solution—fully wireless and battery-operated, they required no ceiling intervention and could be placed directly on each dining table to deliver intimate, glare-free illumination beneath the historic fresco. In the bistrot rooms, where the architecture allowed greater freedom, two pendant models were introduced: the Beam Stick Nuance Balloton Edition, a handcrafted mouth-blown glass suspension whose raised balloton surface pattern filters a soft ambient glow while projecting a focused downward beam; and the Beam Stick Metal, a precise cylindrical aluminum pendant suited to more targeted table illumination. Together, the three products address the practical and aesthetic requirements of both settings without compromising the villa's historic fabric.
