LED Glass Surfaces in Mammut Tower | ASB

ASB GlassFloor is a specialist in LED glass surfaces and digital flooring systems, developing immersive architectural solutions that transform spaces into interactive, media-driven environments. DigitalWallpaper and LumiFlex LED floor surfaces from ASB GlassFloor were installed at the Mammut Tower, the production site headquarters of SOPREMA, located in Oberroßbach, Germany.

The Mammut Tower serves as the landmark building of SOPREMA's production campus in Oberroßbach. The project centered on redesigning the building's entrance area to reflect the company's identity and technological ambition. SOPREMA, a global manufacturer of waterproofing and insulation systems, has deep historical roots—its founding product, a waterproofing membrane, was named after a mammoth discovered in Siberia in 1908. The renovation called for an entrance experience worthy of that heritage: a space that could communicate the brand's story and innovative spirit to every visitor walking through the door.

To achieve this, ASB GlassFloor outfitted the entrance with three interconnected elements. A 10.5-meter-high DigitalWallpaper spanning 31.5 square meters integrates seamlessly into the architecture, functioning not as a technical add-on but as an organic part of the wall surface. Complementing it is a LumiFlex LED floor covering more than 30 square meters—a walkable media surface that responds in real time to visitor movement. A mirrored ceiling completes the trio, reflecting and amplifying the content displayed on both wall and floor. At the heart of the installation is ASB's proprietary tracking system: as visitors enter, SOPREMA's iconic mammoth appears to stir on the wall while illuminated footprints emerge underfoot, accompanied by atmospheric soundscapes of footsteps and nature sounds. The system also supports additional scenarios—from industrial product animations to entertainment modes—allowing the space to be instantly transformed for different occasions.
