Impact Acoustic is a Swiss manufacturer of acoustic solutions and materials engineered for performance and circular design. The company presents Noren, an acoustic curtain system that functions as a room-in-room solution for interior spaces. Made from ARCHISONIC® Textile and crafted in Italy, Noren combines sound insulation with a fully customizable aesthetic and a circular product lifecycle.
Sound Performance and Construction
Noren's 5-layer construction delivers -18 dB sound insulation, lab and field-tested for interior environments. The build consists of two outer textile layers in any of 45 available ARCHISONIC® colors and three inner layers—two made from 96% post-consumer PET and one silicone acoustic blocker. Inside the curtained space, a Speech Transmission Index of 0.9 ensures clear communication, while at ambient noise levels of 42 dB or above, speech outside remains effectively inaudible.
Modular System
Noren is available as a ready-to-install system in four configurations: Square (3600 x 3600 mm), Rectangle (4800 x 3600 mm), Circle (3600 mm diameter), and Straight (2800 mm). All modules share a standard height of 2700 mm and include the ceiling track system and rollers. The product is also fully customizable for projects with specific dimensional requirements.
Color and Material
The outer textile layers can be specified independently—inside face, outside face, and handle—across the full 36-color ARCHISONIC® Textile palette, organized into ranges including Warm Naturals, Quiet Neutrals, Elemental Blues, Living Greens, and Energetic Brights, among others. The material carries a Class 6 color fastness rating (ISO 105-B02) and meets multiple international fire standards, including DIN EN 13501-1 (B-s1, d0), NF 92501-7 Class M1, and USA NFPA 701.
Circularity
Each Noren comes with a blockchain-based Digital Product Passport developed by Swiss company World of Pi, providing full transparency on material composition, manufacturing, warranty, and resale potential. At end of first use, the Re:Impact take-back program handles return logistics for a flat fee, reimbursed in full when the curtain is returned in good condition.
