TPO Roofing Membrane at TVH Equipment's Head Office | Elevate EMEA

Belgian company Elevate EMEA specializes in high-performance roofing membranes that provide durable, sustainable, and weather-resistant solutions. UltraPly TPO membrane was used on The Nest, TVH Equipment’s new head office, located in Waregem, Belgium.

The Nest is a state-of-the-art, circular office building designed by DEMO Architects and completed in April 2024. The building features a striking facade inspired by a bird’s nest, large workshop spaces on the ground floor, and open-plan offices above. Its design prioritizes natural light, visual connection, and informal meeting areas, while the outer facade’s diamond-shaped aluminium slats provide adaptive sun protection. The building’s sustainable systems include nearly energy-neutral certification, geothermal heating and cooling, an extensive solar panel installation, and a large rainwater buffer system.

The roof of The Nest combines main roof areas, lower terraces, and an intensive green garden. These varied roof zones were designed to integrate natural light, green spaces, and functional outdoor areas while supporting the building’s energy-efficient and water management systems.

The roof was waterproofed with Elevate’s white UltraPly TPO membrane by roofing contractor MUTEC. Installation began with a vapor barrier membrane over the concrete roof deck, followed by PIR insulation boards and the TPO membrane. The membrane was mechanically attached to the main roof and ballasted on the lower terraces and green roof sections. UltraPly TPO was selected for its durability and suitability for rainwater recuperation, ensuring long-term protection and sustainability performance.
