Lunawood is a pioneer in decorative wood solutions, with 25 years of expertise in the thermal modification of wood. Their mission is to reconnect people with nature by bringing the calming essence of the forest into urban environments.
Lunawood ThermoWood® interior panels are manufactured from PEFC™-certified Nordic pine and spruce sourced from Finland’s cold forests. Through a chemical-free thermal modification process using heat and steam, the wood achieves improved dimensional stability, durability, and a darker tone.
Lunawood ThermoWood® is suitable for interior applications such as wall panelling, partition walls, ceilings, and flooring. When used in interiors, wood surfaces can improve acoustic comfort by helping to moderate sound reflection. The boards are lightweight and can be cut, shaped, and installed using standard woodworking tools. The thermal modification process reduces the risk of harmful emissions.
The interior product range from Lunawood includes profiles available in planed, brushed, and deep-groove finishes, including options with Luna Arctic coating. Shapes include sharp-edged, wave-shaped, parallelogram, SHP, square, and rectangular cross-sections. Joining and installation solutions include Hem-Fir concealed-fixing systems.
Sauna and Spa
The lower thermal conductivity and improved dimensional stability of thermally modified wood support its use in hot and humid environments such as saunas and spa interiors. The material is resin-free and maintains stable performance under temperature and moisture variations, enabling its application across a range of wellness projects and spa interiors.
