In 2021, for instance, 137 countries collectively committed to halting forest loss and land degradation by 2030 as part of the <a href="https://ukcop26.org/glasgow-leaders-declaration-on-forests-and-land-use/?utm_medium=website&amp;utm_source=archdaily.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Glasgow Leaders' Declaration on Forests and Land Use</a>. Signatories reaffirmed the importance of all forests in adapting to the impacts of climate change and maintaining healthy ecosystem services. Funding pledges quickly followed, including $19.2 billion to protect and restore forests globally.</p>]]>
