Shaping the City: A Forum for Sustainable Cities and Communities

The European Cultural Centre for the Exhibition “Time-Space-Existence” in context of the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale is organizing its first conference under the title of: “ Shaping the City : A Forum for Sustainable Cities and Communities”. It includes all participating architectural schools and universities from across the globe in TSE 2018 along with other international institutions and architecture studios.

The conference is to be held over 2 days on the 12th and 13th of October 2018 in the prestigious auditorium of Fondazione Querini Stampalia in the heart of Venice with a lineup of speakers, panels, from the different participants and guests.

The conference aims to inspire the next frontier of research focused on the structure of cities, culture for sustainability, resilience, livable communities, and architectural developments and advancements. This forum is conceived to exchange about the urban future of cities from universities, practitioners, architects, and others. A place where city changers meet and network with other passionate, innovative, inspiring professionals and researchers.

Over the course of 2 days, four sub-themes will be addressed, each presented by a keynote speaker, discussed by a panel of experts, and elaborated through case studies.
