Text description provided by the architects. The campus of the Shanghai Electronic Industry School is a project transformed from factory buildings which are belonging to Shanghai Shengmei Wireless Factory built in 1980s. According to regulation and design conditions, the main body of factory buildings is saved mostly, and then given new program.

The Student Bathrooms is one of transformed building in the campus.  Besides the works of structural reinforcement and spatial rearrangement, the design tries to create an attractive environment for students. A wall of concrete hollow blocks is used to make a translucent interface between building and place. The project cost is only about RMB 2000 per square meter.
