Text description provided by the architects. The neighbourhood of St. Michael’s grows in its inner-city context by the addition of a new component. The architectural approach of “continuing the city structure” is realised in the connection of the old with the new.  Two new buildings form a garden space with great urban identity.

Their shared scale interlocks the apartment complex with the surrounding buildings. The cubature of the houses is structured to measure between four and six storeys in different parts, laying the foundation for interaction between the residents.

Floor Plan

In analogy to the building structure, a great variety of different flats are available, accommodating different needs. The geometry of the floor plans takes advantage of the building’s orientation towards the green courtyard.Longitudinal, flowing floor plan concepts allow a variety of different apartment layouts, flexibly adaptable to individual circumstances.

The discrete design of the outside facilities – connected paths, the arrangement of gardens, walls and hedges, as well as play areas between the buildings – and the high quality of materials like the sand coloured facing bricks, grey-brown French windows and steel railings afford high comfort living.
