As part of old Jinglin College campus built in last 20’s to 30’s in Nanjing, Wujigeng Building is regarded as typical Minguo (Republic of China period 1912-1949) style, Big Chinese roof and masonry grey brick wall as main façade elements, for its representative architectural quality, the left old Jinglin College campus buildings were preserved as major historic and cultural sites under state protection. Unlike traditional Chinese house using wood and brick wall as main supporting, Wujigeng Building is constructed mainly in concrete structure and wood stripe partition wall, Here we see the opportunity to transfer its 80 years old small student dormitory rooms to open working space of architecture studio & workshop, for professors and teachers of School of Architecture & Urban Planning of Nanjing University.
