Biotope, more than ever, becomes a very popular type of artificial bathing system with a natural water-cleaning technology (non-chemical). The guest facilities are inbuilt into former garages for agricultural machinery. We keep the old reinforced concrete prefab structure with the ornamental ribbed ceiling, while the space between the columns serves newly for refreshments, cafeteria, sports rental, sanitary units.  The whole structure can be easily opened to all sides thanks to large gates embedded into the supports modules. When the gates are shut, the façade still works as a semi-permeable filter between the interior and the exterior. For the masonry we recycled  the old bricks the garages were built from in 1962. All bricks were made in local brickyards and despite its fame of high-quality product this manufacture ceased to exist. Wash troughs, showers and lavatories are from stainless steel and are adjusted to fit the camp requirements.  View more View full description
