Text description provided by the architects. The house was designed for a family with teenage children. It is characterized by geometric facade. The soft lines in the front of the house create an inviting lobby, the living room on contrary is a large framework, but they both are part of the same mass. The front wall that penetrates into the house continues the flow from outside towards the roof and the overall structure.

An important factor that influenced the design of the building was the sun path, in order to let in as much natural light as possible. The shape of the living room is a sunrise portal, and then sunlight washes the house in a planned order: first the east wing - public space, master bedroom and swimming pool, and only then the west wing - bedrooms and family room. The house has water recycling system, insulation and solar roof according to green standards.

The lot, on which the house is built, is surrounded by other houses and does not have a view. Therefore the house openings concentrate mainly on the yard and the swimming pool. The main colors, shades of white, provide an airy and light feeling, and the selected materials enhance the sense of space. Light colored porcelain granite tiles, which reflect the natural light, and the use of glass, including in stair rails, all contribute to transparency.

The family likes to host and organizes events and meals with many guests. This need dictated the design of ground floor. It was planned as a unified open space overlooking the yard, and includes a large external kitchen, closed small interior kitchen, dining room and living room with high ceiling that brings in a lot of light. One can move from the public space directly to the terrace and the swimming pool.

Detail

The top floor is a private area with family bedrooms. It includes the master bedroom, an intimate family room, three children bedrooms, children's bathroom, a laundry room with a balcony and a gallery. The roof is divided into two parts: one part contains solar panels, while the other part serves as another hosting area equipped with garden furniture.
