Architects: Esc Arquitectos Location: MTZ, Veracruz, México Design And Construction: Rafael Ojeda Núñez Project Year: 2011 Photographs: Patrick López Jaimes Collaborators : Eduardo Audirac, Uziel Marrufo After 6 months of working with the client, we were able to develop the architectural project. Communication and active participation of our clients played a key role and allowed us to carry out the refurbishment. This property is located at one of the best neighborhoods in the city of Martinez de la Torre in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. The house has a strong contemporary image, straight lines and pure volumes, inviting nature to be an important part of the interior of the house. The concepts of garden and privacy gave us guidelines to forge the idea of the project. A simple volumetry was proposed, with a total openness towards the garden by the lateral façade. Furthermore, many of the previously constructed elements were retaken by separating the architectural program in 1) Ground Floor (GF) and 2) Floor Plan Level 1 (L1). The relationship between these levels is done through a spiral staircase. View more View full description
