In the Hafen City of Hamburg, the largest transformation of a historical port in Europe, the Brooktorkai 22 building combines residential, commercial and office functions at a favorable location, in two separate volumes that share a glazed ground floor which contains a restaurant, a bar and the separate entrance lobbies for the offices and the apartments. The residential units are in the tower building, offering fine views of the future open space of the LohsePark. Each apartment has a loggia; to further increase the comfort of the rooms facing the recently constructed urban fabric, the windows are fitted with sound-absorbing panels, to permit opening of the windows without reducing the soundproofing effects obtained when they are closed. The living areas have views of the water and the future linear park. On the upper level, two penthouses with terraces enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city.
