As part of the agenda of What Design Can Do (WDCD)—an international organization that seeks to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and just society using the power of design—a series of events and conferences took place in Amsterdam during 2022, bringing together speakers from all over the world to present their projects and perspectives on the current challenges facing the design community today.
Key topics addressed included indigenous innovations, the future of digital fashion, the circular economy, architecture, urbanism, design, gender, climate change, and current systems. The primary mission of creating these spaces is to build a vision of a shared world that is sustainable, inclusive, just, and safe by empowering the creative community to stimulate debate and propose solutions.
We have compiled a selection of the recorded lectures from this edition—featuring internationally renowned figures such as Enrique Norten, Marwa Al-Sabouni, Camila Naveira, Yvo de Boer, Pussypedia, and Josh Fox, among others—allowing you to explore the pressing issues currently being debated in the architecture and design world. The lectures were delivered in English; however, Spanish subtitles are available on the YouTube platform.
