In keeping with a tradition dating back to 1969, the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile is calling for nominations for the 2024 National Architecture Award. This is the highest honor an architect or architectural team can receive in our country. According to the Regulations for Awards and Distinctions, the award recognizes individuals "whose career and ethical and professional performance have set an example for all architects, in any manifestation of professional practice, whether in the field of architectural design, academic work, professional association involvement, public service, or management."
The selection process for the National Architecture Award—notably the only national award granted by an institution outside of the State—values "not only built work but also professional or public activities for the benefit of the profession, academic and outreach activities, the public significance of the work, and the ethical conduct of their practice."
As stipulated by our regulations, "candidates must be nominated by at least 10 active members, who are responsible for submitting the necessary documentation for the application. It should be noted that these signatures must be exclusive; therefore, each signatory may support only one candidate or team per edition."
