Student Competition 'Proyectar a Conciencia' 3.0: How to Reduce Energy Consumption in Existing Buildings?

How can we intervene in existing structures to improve environmental, urban, social, and economic conditions?

The third edition of the 'Proyectar a Conciencia' 3.0 competition, scheduled for the second half of 2019, addresses this question by inviting teams of 2 to 4 students, guided by an architect, to explore how to modernize existing buildings to reduce energy consumption and meet contemporary environmental goals—particularly in light of the upcoming COP25.

Celebrating the launch of the new edition at the Colegio de Arquitectos, the initial "Diálogos a Conciencia" meeting between Chilean architects and ministerial representatives on the "PAC" jury addressed public initiatives for creating legal mechanisms to combat climate change. The takeaway: "The resources exist. We lack projects."
