The 11th edition of the International Festival of Urban Interventions (FIIU 11) will take place from October 21 to 24, 2026, in Lima, Peru, establishing itself as a key space for exchange, reflection, and collective action regarding the urban challenges facing Latin America.
This year, the festival centers on "The Power of the Local," an invitation to recognize how territories, communities, and local actors drive real transformations in their cities. In a regional context marked by management changes, electoral processes, the climate crisis, and technological transition, FIIU proposes a reflection on how to build fairer, more humane, and sustainable cities starting from the most immediate scale: the neighborhood, the community, and daily action.
Between 2025 and 2027, countries such as Peru, Colombia, Brazil, and Bolivia are undergoing electoral processes and management shifts that directly impact the continuity of urban policies and territorial projects. Compounding this is a technological transformation redefining how cities are planned, managed, and experienced; the use of data, artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and new forms of communication are altering the relationship between citizens, territory, and governance.
