Designed by Torsten Ottesjö, with Christian Strömqvist and David Relan, Kloster is a strip of land on the west coast of where they have conceptualized an idea of luxury. Two houses are situated above a slope leading down to a dock and private beach, and are aligned to incorporate the ideal light conditions for the morning and Scandinavian evenings respectively. Aiming to provide a means of inspiration, the structure of the complex is the curling of a leaf – a single surface extended above itself. More images and  architects’ description after the break.

Hus 1 is an inspiring new house designed and built by Torsten Ottesjö. With double curved surfaces, compact and efficient planning it is a house on the human scale that blends effortlessly into the surrounding nature.

Situated in the unique cultural landscape of the Scandinavian West Coast, Hus 1 reflects and communicates with its surroundings. The natural materials used in the construction have made it a friendly place for both humans and nature for its whole life cycle.
