'Spotlight on Design': Abalos + Sentkiewicz Lecture

Taking place 6:30pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, October 30, the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. will be presenting a lecture by Madrid-based studio Ábalos + Sentkiewicz arquitectos. The event, which is part of the ‘Spotlight on Design’ series, focuses on their integration between architecture, environment, and landscape. This “thermodynamic beauty” is seen in a variety of international projects, including the Highspeed Rail Station in Logrono, Spain; Atelier Albert Oehlen in Bühler, Switzerland; and plans for a performing arts center in Taipei. Presented with the Embassy of Spain as part of Preview: Spain Art and Culture. The ‘Spotlight on Design’ speaker series is sponsored by Lafarge, the world leader in building materials, with additional support from the American Institute of Architects. 'Landform Buildings' lecture at Roma Tre Universitá

On october 9, Iñaki Abalos and Renata Sentkiewicz will give the lecture ‘Landform Buildings’ at Roma Tre Universitá (Aula Urbano VIII, Via della Madonna dei Monti 40, Rome). The lecture will take place at 4:30pm.

Abalos+Sentkiewicz project for the Taipei Performing Arts Centre

The two-phase international competition for the new Performing Arts Centre in Taipei included more than 100 offices from around the world. The competition was won by OMA, and generated an intense discussion on ArchDaily.

Now we bring you a proposal from the 2nd phase by spanish architects  Ábalos + Sentkiewicz. We´ll try to get more projects so you can have the whole picture on this competition.
