The CEPT Winter Exhibition 2019 is here. This is where we celebrate the collective work of our students and their tutors produced over the last Monsoon Semester in the form of drawings, models and portfolios, by bringing together, students, teachers, professionals, aspirants and potential employers on one platform. Open call: International Competition of City Main Library Gwangju, S. Korea

1.City Main Library Gwangju: This competition is aimed to search for designs of a public library, which will serve as a main Library in Gwangju, Republic of Korea.

2.Schedule and Eligibility: The competition will be conducted for 74 working days from November 25, 2019 to February 5, 2020, and Korean and international architects can participate in it.

Even so, thanks to Virtual Reality (VR) technology, you can now experience some of them in digitally rendered form—as close to finalised as they’ll get, at least for now. By this process, with Glenn’s full support and assistance, Sydney-based Sissons Architects are bringing two of his projects to life in extraordinary detail: the Donaldson House in Somers, Victoria, and a private house in Mount White, New South Wales.

Carnets. Architecture Is Just a Pretext is a publication that resumes a large research about the state of the art of young Architecture practices in Europe. The work, dealing with architectural practices through a biographic approach, is addressing to the new direction which profession is taking in Europe among young architects.

Carnets is a research project started two years ago by eight architecture students from IUAV University of Venice. The aim is to investigate the current landscape of Architecture in Europe, after the 2008 economical crisis, through interviews, talks, round tables and workshops.

The International Committee of Architectural Critics CICA is pleased to announce an invitation to publishers, editors, curators and authors to submit their publications for consideration for the 10th CICA Awards 2020 by 30th November 2019. Award winners will be announced during the UIA XXVII World Congress of Architecture to be held in Rio de Janeiro from July 19th to 23rd, 2020.

An Enterprising Path to Barrio Chino: A Story of Barcelona

In 1925 a journalist from the Barcelona newspaper El Escándalo used the term Barrio Chino in a somewhat derogatory way to describe part of the older city.
