The greenway is a modern twist on an outdated concept. Ancient cities sprung up around trade routes. Many modern US cities were originally formed according to access to a local train station or navigable river. Today’s metropolises were brought to success by an advanced highway system. All of these circumstances were brought about by two prevailing factors, location and traffic. In a post-modern world however, when the infrastructure has been laid and a consumer society comes to live for a variety of new reasons how can these concepts be applied. The answer lies, partially at least, within the recent push for a developed greenway system.

We propose a station that pretends to be a real terminus station. Consequently, it is not a place just to pass through, but a place where the passengers change their rate of movement. In this place, the city of Huelva introduces itself to the traveller, and sees him off. For this reason we have not proposed a simple halt where we get off a train which continues its journey, but rather a Terminal Station that has to be the end and the start of all travel.
Formerly known as the Nippon Convention Center, the Makuhari Messe (derived from the German word meaning “trade fair”) is the second largest convention center in Japan behind only Tokyo Big Sight. Makuhari Messe was designed by famous Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki and was completed in 1989 with the intention of establishing the area of Makuhari as an architectural destination separate from Tokyo proper. read more »

The existing airport in Baku currently serves both international and domestic flights. The local airport authority is currently in the process of building a new international terminal building. RSA Design Group was asked to submit a proposal for the renovation of the existing building. The renovated structure would be repurposed as a domestic terminal, with all international flights passing through the new terminal building.
