Based on a traditional handrail design, the grab bar is manufactured from brushed stainless steel, giving it a less slippery surface. Sturdy and durable yet weighing only 1.3kg, it can be affixed to washspace™ wall surfaces vertically or horizontally in any of the Doc M-specified compliance positions and comes with concealed fixing roses which ensure a neat appearance after installation.
DDA Straight Grab Bars and the Public Washroom
Many people rely on grab bars for support, balance, and easier mobility for sitting, standing, maneuvering, and dressing including mothers, children, the elderly, and the disabled. Designed for use in many different sectors such as office, retail, museum, and hospitality, it is available in five color finishes and LRV values to contrast against surrounding walls for visibility.
Finishes
The grab bars are made from AISI304 stainless steel and can be specified in five different finishes:
- Black (BK)
- Brass (BR)
- Bronze (BZ)
- Copper (CP)
- Satin (CS)
The Splash Lab's five finishes are achieved through a process known as Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD), which coats stainless steel with a titanium ion film to change its appearance. This environmentally superior process creates less waste than electro-plating or powder coating. The process also improves the overall durability of the finish by increasing its resistance to scratches, corrosion, and oxidation. A polished chrome finish is available upon request.
