Wood Finishes in Landaburu Borda | PARKLEX PRODEMA

The owner and developer of Landaburu Borda Country House, Gorka Ibargoyen, discovered the centenarian country manor nestled into the Bera valley forest. Both the building and the location suited a holiday lodging project, where guests could reconnect with nature. The owner called on architect Jordi Hidalgo Tané and the pair created a dialog between old and new, ancestral tradition and modernity, craftsmanship and technology, to build a contemporary living space that features wood products from PARKLEX PRODEMA.

Project Data

The original stone manor was built to last and left intact as the project took shape alongside it. The house is linked with the oak forest surrounding it by the use of wood as a raw material for the design. PARKLEX PRODEMA products took on a central role in several indoor areas, thanks to their material quality, easy installation, and resistance to moisture and intensive use.

Areas of Use

The natural oak finish chosen imbues the interior with stylistic coherence and is used for several different projects:

• Vertical and horizontal walls
• Floors
  NATURFLOOR - W was used in the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and stairs. NATURFLOOR - W is a natural wood floor specially formulated for stays of intense use and frequent transit, in Oak Country finish.
• Ceilings
• Kitchen
  The kitchen furniture and drawers under the dining room sill are custom made with NATURPANEL - W, as well as the wall that separates the bedrooms from the bathrooms. These are natural wood panels that do not need maintenance and have the same finish as those used in floors.
• Shower
  In walls and plates- NATURHARDPANEL - W panels are used

Finish - Country Oak

The use of the entire range of PARKLEX PRODEMA interior products, with the same Oak Country finish, gives the rooms in Landaburu Borda a serene and warm atmosphere and provides a stylistic coherence as one travels through the spaces.

This finish is manufactured from fine timber veneers, therefore the color and grain of different batches will exhibit natural variations. There will be also a slight difference between different products with the same finish, due to the coatings applied.
