I think the "boxes" are actually a nice addition to the architectural scheme --- given the proportions of the elevation, I think it was absolutely necessary to somehow modulate the facade. I understand the skepticism regarding the scale, but I actually think it's a nice middle ground between having an singular expansive plane and modulating each of the units individually: the former approach would be too sterile and the latter would be far too fragmented. In my opinion, the strength of this concept resides in its response to the extreme site constraints and the development of an otherwise-simplistic parti. It definitely puts my college dormitory to shame...

Dear Claude, I am very happy to you smile. And do not worry, bamboo is very good material, also sustainable. you can do even
scaffolding out of it. I also have it on my balcony and is very strong during all seasons.

nettie, cleaning ladies we are not! tho' your comment made me smile! facade massing certainly looks 'tres agreable', agreed, but long term...how will it age?

I don't get the 'mess of sticks' either - why put big windows there, if you're just going to obscure them like that? Though in this case, it seems to be a screen to guard against stray footballs.

I've never fully understood the trend of covering windows with wooden slats like this; it might make the facade cleaner-looking, but ultimately isn't it frustrating to have to peer through a mess of sticks when looking out of your massive windows?
