Gwalior Trade Fair is one of the oldest and largest trade fairs in Madhya Pradesh, Northern India. It was started in 1905 by the king of Gwalior, Maharaja Madhav Rao Scindia, and has now been in operation for 111 years. Today, Gwalior Trade Fair is held at a vast and modern fair complex spread over 104 acres with over 5000 pavilions, shops and ready-to use structures for showrooms and exhibitions. The fair complex has an independent power sub-station, water system, hospital, police station, banks and other modern facilities. The city boasts of its grand annual event, organized by Gwalior Trade Fair Authority – a nodal agency of Government Of Madhya Pradesh. The event is a rare and captivating confluence of glorious tradition, culture, tourism and trade.
Competition
1) The aim of this competition is to redesign Gwalior Trade Fair to regenerate the allurement of the century old carnival at the proposed land by Gwalior Trade Fair Authority.
2) Design a sustainable form of Gwalior Vyapaar Mela; blending it with the new technology and architecture which can bring back its old charm through connecting with the emotions of people from all over.
3) A fresh new technique and solution to be adopted to make the proposed space more suitable for different kind of exhibitions. The aim should be to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings through efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy and the ecosystem at large.

First Prize- INR 50,000/- + Certificate
Second Prize- INR 30,000/- + Certificate
Third Prize- INR 20,000/- + Certificate
Top 10 Entries (excluding the top 3 winners) will be
awarded INR 5,000/- + Certificate
5 Special Recognition and Awards for the Teachers/Mentors having maximum teams in top 30 short-listed entries.
Top 30 - Thirty short-listed entries featured in one single online publication on our blog and social media pages. Winners and honourable mentions will be published on Sqrfactor's website.
Top 3 Colleges ‐ Certificate and Special recognition + Books and Educational/Research Material for library of top three colleges having maximum participation.
