Tokyo takes the top spot
Looking for a new city to live? Maybe you should check this ranking first. ECA International has released the list of the 30 most expensive cities to live in. You can see that Tokyo took the first spot and Oslo moved from the 8th spot in 2009 to 2nd in 2010. The ranking is based on a basket of 128 goods including food, daily goods, clothing, electronics, and entertainment.
You can see the complete ranking here, and check how much will lunch at a restaurant, a can of beer, o a movie ticket will cost you. Seen at Bloomberg Businessweek.

Nobody pay 18$ for the lunch in Tokyo.
Take average of salary man’s lunch, not you!!!
i live in tokyo and our up-to-date credit card statement says we paid over 14K USD, and thats not for shopping or travel, its for basic stuff like weekly grocery, gas, water excluding the house rent.

guys just because a city is expensive that does not mean that people live well, believe me , I have traveled enough, so the folks from the states should be happy that your cost of living is actually low, you can afford bigger homes, bigger cars, more food and lower costs…not bad…
