I do think that it helps blend the man-made structure into a natural environment, but at what cost? The fact that the wood cladding is a local resource helps, but there may be a more appropriate design solution that would resolve the problem without necessitating a wooden screen. I'm not sure what that is, but the facade is a very expensive and material-intensive privacy measure. Does anyone have a precedent for architectural "blending" or a chameleon effect of sorts?
