East River Museum site

The Competition in Brooklyn, have just announced it’s winner. We really love it’s simplicity and good use of materials. We couldn’t find out who designed it, so if you know, please do tell us!

Proposal after the break.

Happy April Fool’s Day! ;)

so, the square thing on the roof, is a ceiling window or a solar panel?

    MaxPower says:

It’s a window. We thought about a solar panel, with all the sustainability issues, but we decided to go with a chimney instead.

The window is specially designed so you can have a better look at the dog.

I’m curious as to why the purple color, it blends beautifully with the surrounding folliage. A-plus landscaping concept! :)

I was born and raised in the Barney generation. That’s the reason for the purple color.

All about Form…
Too much visual composition..
It doesn’t look like this project is trying to be original.
That’s what I don’t like of this kind of architects.
Lack of imagination?
Short deadlines?
It is hard to see from these pictures. Context is denied here and the basic rules of the eye perspective are not used. This is an out of scale object for that site.
what kind of material do they use? maybe some plans could justify everything.. but I really enjoy the forms, nice one!
