In this 1994 theory master class, Spanish architect Luis Fernández Galiano expresses discomfort with the hegemony of vision and the image in architecture. Moving towards the argument that reconstruction should start by changing the prevailing dominance of vision in society, Galiano gives an overview of Spanish housing projects from the 1950s - 1980s in an attempt to reconcile the object with the process of building. Finally, he brings up culture and civilization as issues that he feels must be addressed in the future, concluding that "architecture, if it is to recover, must dream again."
