It reminds me more of the Jacobs + MacFarlane rest. on the Pompidou than Ito's Mediatheque, however I see the similarities in the structural solution, even though it's hidden behind the acrilic.

Honeycomb?....it doesn't look anything like a honeycomb, more like some type of sponge or ameaba, but maybe that's just me.

None the less, it's great, looks like a beautiful place to eat, my only critic would be the lack of design for the floor surface.

Nice.

Nice post! The architect’s designs are awesome and it looks very charming. It will definitely grab the attention of every one. These designs are very decent and good looking. One thing I have noticed in these designs that some of the designs have similarities with other directory site which I have recently visited and some resources have found in theinteriordesigners.net

I beleive that the forms are made of an acrylic. this article has a couple other photo's showing some tranparent sections.
we can see from the sections that there is steel web which forms the hourglass shapes. my guess is that then flat sheets of acrylic are heat forms to the surface to form the skin. all the sheets are heat welded together to eliminate the seems.

How come it never mentions about the material and how they are produced? That would be great knowledge sharing for other architects, who want to use the technology.
