Couple of weeks ago we launched a competition through our Facebook Fan Page to find the best architectural animation video you could send us. After looking at 34 videos and receiving more than 2,500 votes, we have a winner!

Armir Shapllo, with his Space Camp Nou video (see it after the break), received more than 800 votes to win a brand new iPod Touch. Matej Štefanac came second and Alex Roman third. Congratulations to Armir, and to everyone who participated. And remember to follow us through Twitter and our Facebook Fan Page for more competitions!

well well….nice modelling but there’s a lot of flickering in your animation, the secuence of the spaceship is boring, and the music sucks…and what about how bad this video is edited.

Anyway you are the winner…congrats and enjoy your ipod..

Frank says:

I think the author of this animation asked a lot of friends to vote for him, since this is probably the worst architectural animation I’ve ever seen. Bad graphics, sound stops in the middle, etc…

No cheating please next time. I’d like to see some quality work.

Someone on Facebook links to this video: http://vimeo.com/5407991

Excellent.

Dear readers, this competition was designed in such a way that our readers could choose the winner. In the near future, we’ll organize more competitions in which a jury of experts will select the best projects.

For now, we urge you to respect the decision our readers made in selecting the winning video.

Thanks.

Did the winner steal the video from Virgin Galactic? The music overlaps and some of the renders get better. that would be a shame if the winner was a fraud.

John says:

Sebastian,

I would agree with you except that the people who voted for this animation probably never read this website in the first place. If all one has to do is put a link up on their facebook page to get his friends to vote for him once a day would you consider all those individuals readers of Archdaily. An easy fix would have been to only allow registered members to vote and make it so that you could only vote once. This competition is a disgrace to architectural animation especially considering Alex Roman’s project was in it. Congrats to the winner though. Sorry to be so hard.

Well, the animation is a very simple one…and the rendering of the building is very low… it’s strange because the plane is better rendered..

I think the embedded animation is not the one who win. It’s written in the text that the winner is “Armir Shapllo, with his Space Camp Nou video”. What we see there is something else. Hey! ARCHDAILY staff, please fix this problem ASAP!

I gotta say; I was looking forward to both the winning Vid. and a proper discussion of the architectural expression within…
Really quite a pity as the idea of a video competition was just great.
I definitely agree with Jorge; i wanna see them again – some of the stuff presented basically blew my mind.

Cheers.
