Text description provided by the architects. The project is a single family house designed primarily on ground floor, with the first floor only for a small studio in the double height  of the living room, and a guest room with bath.

Site Plan

The plot has a sloping ground in the north-south direction, so the building is located to the north of the plot, freeing up as much space as possible towards the south.

The project reflects a fragmented architecture in a composition of several volumes, with flat or inclined roofs, depending on their orientation and the areas they cover.

The elevator, attached to the chimneys, formalizes the tallest and most slender volume due to its functional requirements, which is emphasized by fitting the rest of the volumes around it.

East Elevation

The building is clad in white limestone and black zinc in the inclined volumes.

The orientation of daytime spaces is to the south, and nocturnal spaces are oriented to the north and east.

The building has been designed with eco-design criteria. We evaluated environmental aspects and defined actions to achieve the objectives, later verifying their compliance.

The building’s HVAC system is designed through a geothermal heat pump with underfloor heating and cooling. Mechanical ventilation is available with heat recovery. Openings have sun screens, with different characteristics according to their orientation. The materials used have certificates of sustainability, and most of them are recyclable.
