There are times when I see a project that inspires me as an architect. This is one of them. It is just beautiful in so many ways. It is so rich, unpretentious and elegant. It’s like I’m looking at a small Tate Modern and an Otto Wagner building, all at once.

I’m going to guess that the interior of this building was not originally painted. If so, it takes guts to say “I’m going to slop paint all over this brick, forever.” That is a big move when restoring/adaptively reusing a buiding, something you can never go back on. And it works here, it makes the building better. The white is gorgeous, as are the floors and tile.
