		<description>[...] The Aga Khan recently announced that he is commissioning a new building here in Toronto, and the preliminary designs look really interesting. This announcement sent me on a hunt for interesting cultural buildings , as they are the spaces that house so much of the theatre, music, film, historical artifacts and art throughout the world. The Prism Gallery in West Hollywood, California is an example of such a building. Designed by Patterns, the building&#8217;s design was influenced by the fluidity of automotive design while the facade also plays a dual role: it acts as a reflectively surface for the daylight and as a translucent skin at night.
