The Wired New York Forum [blog] contains some excellent photo’s documenting both Nouvel’s 100 11th Avenue tower’s construction, as well as the accompanying Frank Gehry IAC curved glass project next door. In particular the images found on pg 21 depict the faceted facade as the hoardings are removed.

The Wired N.Y. forum participants have also documented the ongoing construction of Gehry’s Beekman tower; clad with an amazing undulating stainless steel facade, that has to be seen to be believed.

It would be nice to see how its solved inside.
I dont like the two facades too, I think it was better to have a black block also in the front, or a 100% glas building, but not the two toghether.

I’m not a big fan of Jean Nouvel, but this one I liked… It’s sober and there is that strong concept of separation of glass and opaque sides. I’d like to see how it works inside… Someone saw a plan?
